Body Language

When I made the decision to leave LA and go back to my hometown of Dallas (with intentions of getting “back to my roots” and all that), I knew that it would be a major change: of scenery, of pace, and of lifestyle. Since I was already shaking things up by moving, I decided to also quit my well-paying but ultimately unfulfilling job in pharmaceuticals, and to embark upon a more creative career that I would actually love.

And voilà- I began work for Barneys New York.  Barneys has always been one of my go-to shopping destinations; I love that despite being notoriously high-end, everything in the store is a little off color, a little artsy and unexpected.  And I love what I do.  Also, it has been interesting…

LEGS

Nothing makes your legs look longer than a great pair of nude pumps. Pair with a shorter skirt or dress like this one (loose up top is key in avoiding looking ‘hootchie.’  Also, Leg Shine by Michael Kors is amazing… One long streak down the front and back of each leg will have a flattering toning effect.

Hello Gorgeous…

Welcome to Gobs of Glam!  Recently moved to Dallas after 8 years in Los Angeles and passionate about all things food, fashion and fun, I am trying to navigate my way around this city and life and general as a 26 year old girl (woman?).  I want to start this blog as a way to share with others the things that I love and find and think.  With it 25 degrees outside and a constant fire going in my living room, I figured this would be the best time to curl up and begin.  Appréciez, godere, enjoy.
